The Motorcity Buckeyes held a community service event at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen on Saturday, June 10. Working in two shifts, we served breakfast and lunch to roughly 400 people in total. I found the experience both very powerful and humbling since we were working so directly with people who needed help. We also learned that since our service was early in the month, it was actually a light day. As the money runs out for people later in the month, more and more people use their services.
I look forward to our next board meeting where we can discuss the event and future opportunities as well. Images are available by clicking here!
