In 1993, the Berkley Theatre closed after over 50 years in business.  This theatre was owned by Margie (Komer) Kaplan’s (Barry Kaplan’s wife) family for over 30 years from her grandparents to her parents.  The Redford Theater is having a Berkley Theatre Tribute Night to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the closing of the theatre.  You will hear about the history of the Berkley Theatre, see a display of photos and memorabilia, raffle of original movie posters and see their most successful movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid which played for nearly 5 months at the Berkley Theatre.
